The College was founded by the African Citizens Development Foundation (ACDF) an African Non-Governmental Organisation in Special Consultative Status with the United Nations. ACDF is committed to the noble upliftment of the African Citizens.
The Foundation was founded in April, 1995 and registered with the Corporate Affairs Commission of the Federal Republic of Nigeria with Registration Number RC No. 12, 12739. It aims at complementing African governments’ efforts in the provision of qualitative secondary education. Education has been seen as one of the greatest tools of national development. As a result, many developing countries have placed emphasis on the importance of education in order to promote and formulate educational policies to soothe their socio-economic and political aims in development. ACDF is one of such institutions. To this end, its educational policies ensure the content of education that reflects the needs of the society.
ACDF educates citizens on the importance of human virtues and integrity towards the development of a nobler culture. The Foundation runs a “tuition-free” and full-boarding school for its registered students. Who must graduate as Life-Members of the Foundation and as future Development Partners (DPs).
ACDF is one institution that determined to work with various Governments in Africa to strengthen their policies on Education by ensuring that the content of education which reflects the needs of the society is entrenched and sustained
